Site-specific artwork created in assignment of L. Vrijhoef. Material: crêpe-chiffon, made of polyester/ acrylics from Golden(brand), UV-resistant/ rail/ paint(window frame), in a specially mixed grey. Slats are convertible. Size (window frame included): w 250 x h 175 x d 30 cm.

The living of the customer doesn't contain much color. Therefore, after consultation, I chose for many bright and full colors in this design. She told me she liked white and orange. We've also looked at a painting present in the room of the Mediterranean Sea. The colors of this painting are translated in 'compositionLidwien'.

Next, it was a challenge to create a form in which textile and the complicated window frame could intercept. It became a pattern that has a random feel to it, a starry night.

This work breathes color. And by doing so, it changes the atmosphere. Due to the evaporation of color by the textile, the window frame becomes part of the artwork.

This work can be seen with daylight-backlight as well as with normal (artificial) light in the evening. The fase of a slow transition is especially interesting: when the daylight fades and the artificial light within the room gaines.

Seen from this point of view is Composition1 a successor of the work 'As dawn approaches'.

Material: artificial silk, acrylics of Golden (fluids, medium, additive), wood, artificial light. Size: w 130 x d 120 h 200 cm.

As daylight fades this three dimensional painting changes slowly and constantly. The actual work is the amount of time in which this quiet transition occurs.
