Sample1 uit 2013 is het eerste werk uit de Block serie. Het hangt vrij in de ruimte en is van twee kanten te zien, beide kanten zowel met tegenlicht als erop vallend licht. Materiaal: kunstzijde, acrylics (verf, medium, additieven, hout, satijndraad). Maat: br125cm x d42cm x h98cm. UV resistent. Gekozen voor een gladde kunstzijde, waardoor de lagen met elkaar gaan werken en er patronen ontstaan.

Sample1, made in 2013, is the first work of the Block serie. It can be seen from both sides, with backlight as well with normal light. Material: artificial silk, acrylics (paint, medium, additives, wood, satinthread). Size: width 125cm, depth: 42cm, height 98cm. UV resistent. I’ve chosen for a smooth silk, which causes layers to react with each other if they are close. This creates the patterns.
