De snelle verwerkbaarheid van papier maakt papier tot een geschikt schetsmateriaal. Doch het vouwen, snijden en plakken gebeurt in deze serie in zo’n formaat, kwantiteit en herhaling dat hierdoor een meditatieve tendens ontstaat.
Paper is easily processable, which makes it a suitable material for sketching. Yet, the folding, cutting and glueing in this scale, quantity and repetition, results in a meditative tendency.
Het creëren van tussenruimtes maakt dat het licht de tint kan meebepalen – the creation of space-in-between, the enclosure of air and light, ables the light to paint (2011).
Dat wat er niet is, vormt het beeld – what I’ve cut out, what I’ve removed, shapes the image (2006).
